Welcome to Science, my name is Blake Johnson. I grew up in Anoka, MN and graduated from Anoka High School with a class of over 700 students. From there I went to Bemidji State where I majored in education and met my wife Stephanie. We moved to Duluth in 2007. My appreciation of the outdoors drove my passion for science and is what drew me to this area. I have a masters degree in Teaching and Learning from Saint Mary's and am an advocate for personalized learning. In the summer I'm a wildland firefighter for the DNR which allows me to see and experience different parts of the U.S. It’s my goal to instill appreciation of the natural world to all my students by taking a hands on approach towards learning. It's my sincere pleasure to be at South Ridge and I'm happy to be part of it’s team.
